Silvclar-250
Composition
Clarithromycin 250mg
Description & Effects
Silvclar-250 is a macrolide antibiotic containing Clarithromycin 250 mg. It is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections by stopping the growth of bacteria and preventing the spread of infection. Clarithromycin works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, a process essential for bacterial survival and replication. This medicine is effective in treating infections of the respiratory tract (such as bronchitis, pharyngitis, and pneumonia), ear, sinuses, skin, and soft tissues. It is also used as part of combination therapy to treat Helicobacter pylori infections associated with peptic ulcer disease. Silvclar-250 is usually taken once or twice daily, with or without food, as prescribed by a healthcare provider. The tablet should be swallowed whole with water. The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of infection. Patients typically begin to feel better within a few days, but it is important to complete the full course of the antibiotic even if symptoms improve early. Stopping the medication too soon can result in incomplete treatment and may lead to bacterial resistance. Common side effects may include nausea, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, headache, or altered taste. Rarely, allergic reactions or liver-related issues may occur. Use under medical supervision is essential to ensure safe and effective treatment.
